Welcome

The Friendship Cafe aims to provide youth & community-based activities and services in a culturally-sensitive manner, focusing mainly on the inner city and surrounding areas of Gloucester, although our users are from diverse backgrounds all around the County, which means that we are used by hundreds of different people each week.

Our main users are minority communities, local residents and low-income families, isolated people, people with mental health issues, elderly people, people with disabilities and carers, vulnerable families and individuals, marginalized women, children, and young people. We have a small team of staff and dedicated volunteers and work alongside many local groups and several charitable and statutory organizations.

We also manage the St. James City Farm.

What we do

At The Friendship Cafe we focus on the following key areas

Please view our short film about the work of The Friendship Cafe, a registered charity, based in Gloucester – we run a youth/community centre, ‘St James City Farm and Riding School’, and this film shows some of the different groups that we work and are involved with, support, and the different activities that take place. We welcome people from all backgrounds; most of the building is wheel chair friendly and accessible.
